It's been just the best way to start our time in Roatan. It's been a week of reconnecting with people, some of whom knew when we'd arrive and some who were surprised. For the most part, it's like Larry and I really haven't been away - we just start up where we had left off.
It has also been a bit of a frustrating time trying to connect with people who aren't here with us. Our regular internet provider still has not been able to hook us up - oo-la-la - customer service they have not - but what they do have is lots of problems! The regular phone provider's internet connectivity was a problem for me on my phone and computer - not Larry's - apparently it works just fine on his been-around-for-awhile iPhone. At the suggestion of one of our students, I purchased the other provider's phone chip Saturday and - it works!
For this blog, I just want you to see some of the beautiful and welcoming smiles we have enjoyed this week. Sit back and flip through - do you see anyone you remember?

Larry has had several opportunities to re-connect with Luis. Luis is opening a new, little store and would like a silent partner.

A few of the kids we have spent time with are anticipating graduation in a few months. Both Oscar and Junior are currently enjoying their work placements as part of their third year in their programs. Students on placement can be identified by their professional dress - dress shirt, tie, black pants and new dress shoes for the guys and skirt, blouse, dress shoes and purse, for the girls.
Greicy and Geyzi should also graduate this November, Greicy from grade 11, and Geyzi from grade 9.
