Our Story in Pictures - March 2018

I take a lot of pictures. A lot. Most of them never receive public viewing. The responses to my requests for picture-taking vary - most people are eager to smile for the camera and respond very positively.  Then there's a few who give me "the look".  Sorry Carlos. Sorry Larry. You keep getting in the picture!

What I've got here are a few pictures that tell our story about how we've been living life for the last little while. I hope these bring a smile to your face too!

The story of families:
Jhonny and Rosinda, welcome us as part of their family.

Four families, but one family, and some of the kids for a visit.

Visiting family - Lynn and Nick

Rumble Family from home
with Oscar, the student they have sponsored for 6 years!

Ladies' Group family

Katee visiting from home

The story of our "work":

Distributing tarps to families with roof leaks. (Thanks Karin and John.)

Helping kids get the bus to school.

Provision of chairs for the Kids' Ministry at Son Rise.

Taking the new door up to Bayron's.

School kids leaving for the day.

Meilin has lots of homework requiring the Internet.

Provision of a computer for Son Rise church

Oh my..... the Saturday night Kids' Church

The story of our place:
We work and live here. Can you see our house?  Bye Hunter.

Our place..... look up. The only ladder picture I have this time and it's only a step-stool.

Hunter is happiest when the kids come.

Our back garden was lush with culantro - a relative of cilantro.
No one left without taking a bag.

People stories:
            .....Jimena
Jimena receiving treatment at the hospital.

Jimena and her mom at home in Roatan.
Look!  Her hair is growing!

Jimena's dad on top of the garbage truck.
The trucks are collecting garbage again, and David is being paid!

                    ......Chris and Laura
Chris and Laura continue to serve at the rehab center. Their family is thriving.

Chris does all sorts of jobs including maintenance, yard work,
and assisting the ministry in their weekly hospital and jail mission work.
Ministry works includes preparing the big pot of soup.

                  ...... Karla Yulisa and Henry

You would never think that quiet Karla Yulisa would be such an exhibitionist!

            ......Year End Party
Part 1: A story from the boys' table - The Hot Sauce Challenge.

Part 2:  The Hot Sauce Challenge - Last man sitting.

           .....Cute little girl story
Ashley, with her sisters, always greets me when I walk past their house.
She offered some lunch - rice and beans.

Our stories 😊:
Yay!  We've got our residency cards for another year!

The happy story - for two years I've always been able to find our car when shopping.                          Except for this one day.....
The sad story - the week we left, Larry had an offer he couldn't refuse and the car is sold. 😔
What can we say except :Thank you God, for giving us work for our hands,
and pleasure for our senses!  We are blessed.
